The main ways to improve an MP3 file are nicely organized in tabs at the bottom of the main window, so you can either play a little bit with general settings, such as normalizing and trimming, change tempo and pitch, or turn to the advanced equalizer that also comes with multiple presets.

If you wish to resample the file and change bitrate or samplerate, you can always do that from the second tab, while the third one gives you the option to encode or decode the file.

The general settings menu lets you choose whether to keep the original bitrate and samplerate for all files, or apply some user defined settings every time you edit a file.

On the other hand, there's also a Trim options menu that comprises settings regarding threshold, fadeout size in seconds, percent and ending silence threshold.

What we liked the most about Mp3Doctor Pro was definitely the interface and the impressive lineup of features, but instead we missed a powerful help menu to guide us through the whole process.

But all in all, Mp3Doctor Pro is indeed a great software solution, and buying a license to unlock its full powers is just a matter of time until you first give it a try.

The Program Deactivator made specific recommendations for restoring system performance, such as disabling and uninstalling unused programs. The Fix Problems tab offers a number useful fixes for common Windows problem like desktop icon errors. We tried the quick update function too, which worked like a breeze and basically updated the application with just a single click. It all came down to choosing whether to update or not, and the whole job was done by the integrated updater that automatically downloaded the new files and installed them on the computer.

The application encases all the features specific to a decent download manager, including drag and drop support, a task scheduler, virus protection, queue processor, HTTPS support, progressive downloading with quotas, command line parameters, sounds, ZIP preview and proxy servers.

The tests revealed that the CPU and memory footprint is minimal, but this also depends on the download speed and the overall size of the file.

Internet Download Manager is a must have application for many users out there. It will prove itself essential for users who download large files on a regular basis.
